Trump hinted at a 2024 presidential run in his Saturday night conference address. On the second day of the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit, he delivered the keynote address. Trump’s address was preceded by one by DeSantis, who, along with Trump, is seen as one of the most prominent possible GOP candidates for 2024.
Trump stated on Saturday that he won the 2016 election, erroneously claimed he won the 2020 election, and said, “now we may just have to do it again.”
Later in the address, Trump stated, “If I stayed home, if I announced that I was not going to run for office, the persecution of Donald Trump would immediately stop,” “However, they want me to do this. And what do you know? I cannot possibly do it.”
Trump concluded his address by stating that his reelection slogan, “keep America great,” is now obsolete under President Biden’s administration. Trump, though, stated that “we will make America great again.”
